Alternatív sztori az Egyensúly Újjászületéséhez, de annak a sztorinak az ismerete nélkül is teljesen olvasható. Nightmare ebbe a változatba lélek/érzelmek nélkül születik újjá mint Ink és Dream gyereke Palette. Ahogy Ink fioláinak köszönhetően érzelmek újra megjelenek életébe az üresség fájdalma túl soká válik és sokszor a szakadék szélére sodorja őt, Dream legnagyobb fájdalmára. Error újjászületve Reaper és Geno gyereke Goth-ként hozott újra színeket az ürességbe, de vajon elég lesz e?

An alternative story to Rebirth of Balance, but completely readable without knowledge of that story. In this version, Nightmare is reborn without a soul/emotions as Ink and Dream's child Palette. As emotions reappear in his life thanks to Ink's vials, the pain of emptiness becomes too much and often pushes him to the edge of the abyss, much to Dream's greatest pain. Error reborn as Reaper and Geno's child Goth brought the colors back to the emptiness, but will it be enough?

The idea comes from a comment by Aphmaufan_123907, who wanted a story with Nightmare/Palette without soul/emotions.
